Every sample image on this site was produced with HeadshotForge, so we can describe exactly how it was made. We do not publish customer photographs, and we do not present these samples as customer results. This page explains what the samples are and what to look at when you judge a headshot of your own.

What the sample images are

The images on the style pages are AI-generated examples made with HeadshotForge. They were generated from selfies through the same workflow a customer uses. They show what a style looks like, not what a particular person achieved.

We do not show customer headshots. A headshot is a photograph of a real person's face, and putting a customer's face on a marketing page is not something we do. The samples you see were created for this site.

What to look at in any headshot

The same handful of things separate a usable headshot from a weak one, whoever made it. Use these checks on our samples, on your own results, and on a photo a colleague took of you.

  • Eye contact. The eyes should be sharp, open and looking towards the camera.
  • Light on the face. The face should be evenly lit, with no blown-out highlights and no dark patches.
  • Background. It should be plain enough that it does not compete with the face.
  • Framing. Leave a little space above the head, and crop around mid-chest.
  • Resemblance. The person in the image should still be recognisably the person who uploaded the selfies.
  • Details. Check the hairline, the ears and the neck, where generated images most often slip.

Why every headshot is labelled AI-generated

Every image HeadshotForge produces is labelled as AI-generated. The label is not a footnote added afterwards. It sits with the output because a generated portrait is not a photograph of a moment. Saying so clearly is the honest thing to do.

The label also helps you. If you put an AI headshot on a professional profile, the people who see it should be able to tell how it was made. That is easier to do when the image carries the label itself.

Where to see the styles

Each style has its own page with samples in that look. Compare a plain studio backdrop with a warmer setting, or a tight crop with a wider frame.

Read how it works for the four-step process, and pricing for what each pack includes.

Frequently asked questions

Are these real customer headshots?
No. We do not publish customer photographs. Every sample on this site was generated with HeadshotForge for use as an example.
Were the samples retouched by hand afterwards?
No. They show what the product produces from a set of selfies in a given style.
Can I see a sample in the style I want?
Yes. Each style page shows samples in that style, so you can compare looks before you upload anything and before you pay.
Will my headshots look exactly like the samples?
Not exactly. The samples started from specific selfies in specific light. Your results depend on the photos you upload, which is why the selfie guidance matters more than the sample.
Do you show before-and-after pairs?
No. A before-and-after would mean publishing a customer's original photograph, and we do not publish customer photographs.
